The Dresser and the Drier - The Big Workshop and The Little Workshop

WHO WE ARE
We are farmers who, because of EU legislation, had redundant farm buildings. What were we to do with them? Emma had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1987. During her time as a Trustee of the Parkinson's Disease Society she learnt, first hand, the very special needs of those destined to spend their days in a wheelchair along with the needs of their families and carers.

WHERE WE ARE -
Within the large and colourful grounds of a working farm, we are situated about five miles from the Royal Estate at Sandringham and seven miles from Titchwell and the beach at Hunstanton and Brancaster and 15 miles from King's Lynn. It is in an area of natural beauty but it is essential that you have a car.

OUR ORIGINAL COTTAGES
Stable Cottage, which opened in 2000, is a disabled-friendly holiday cottage within the large and colourful gardens of the farmhouse. It has been thoughtfully converted into a disabled friendly holiday cottage with ample space for wheelchairs

Owl Barn, which opened in 2001, has also been thoughtfully converted into a disabled friendly holiday cottage with ample space for wheelchairs. Owl Barn was the first cottage we converted in the Old Farmyard and the summer of 2004 saw the opening of The Crew Yard and The Old Cart Shed.

All our cottages have level access and an open plan room layout including, en-suite 'roll-in' shower rooms and purpose built low-level kitchens, especially designed for wheelchair users, their families and carers. Each has its own personal garden.

We plan to add two more bigger units, in 2006, by converting the Big Barn and two smaller ones from The Workshop
